I was hired as a temporary employee at Smith Creek Village drawn to the work due to my genuine care for people During my time there I witnessed and heard about many instances of elder abuse from staff members There were also complaints from residents about the way they were treated by the care team For voicing my concerns I started to be targeted by coworker 2022-09-09T10:32:16Z
I was hired as a temporary employee at Smith Creek Village drawn to the work due to my genuine care for people During my time there I witnessed and heard about many instances of elder abuse from staff members There were also complaints from residents about the way they were treated by the care team For voicing my concerns I started to be targeted by coworkers and management in an attempt to silence me The way Baptist Housing markets Smith Creek Village is inaccurate compared to what actually goes on behind closed doors its terrible what I saw there Although not all of the staff are bad those who are good may be too afraid to stand up for residents due to fear of losing their jobs with management supporting the abuse Despite this I kept dedicating myself to caring for residents and putting a smile on their faces while upholding ethical and humane practices in my work with them As Covid19 continues if you have family in Baptist Housing care please check in on your loved one they need us as advocates now more than ever Sadly however after attempting so hard to help these individuals through difficult times and challenging situations despite being wellliked by residents I was terminated suddenly without valid reason or substantiation its clear that they wanted me out because I refused allow the abuse continue any longer As a result of this experience which could fill an entire book with stories about unacceptable practices going on there including how chapel services offered do not reflect a God centered approach more ... hide ...

I was asked if I would recommend Hollyburn Properties to someone when I gave my notice and my answer is a resounding NO They used the cheapest materials they could find to renovate the building and charged me 300 for replacing a small set of blinds thats outrageous Even worse they charged me 400 for a piece of laminate with a chip in it saying they had to ri 2022-10-12T09:02:17Z
I was asked if I would recommend Hollyburn Properties to someone when I gave my notice and my answer is a resounding NO They used the cheapest materials they could find to renovate the building and charged me 300 for replacing a small set of blinds thats outrageous Even worse they charged me 400 for a piece of laminate with a chip in it saying they had to rip up half the floor But after speaking with a flooring company I found out that was false installing a new piece of laminate takes seconds These two items cost me almost all of my damage deposit despite us cleaning the apartment for two days straight it was immaculate We even noticed when we wiped down the ceiling in the shower that there was leaking from above Needless to say Im appalled at what these people have done and am now writing this review so no one else makes the same mistake as me DO NOT RENT FROM HOLLYBURN PROPERTIES On top of everything else their rent rates are some of the highest out there I paid 1560month plus electric for just two bedrooms yet now have an entire house cheaper than that Save your money look elsewhere more ... hide ...

As an advocate they don't listen to your opinion With only 3 staff members and continuously hiring replacements the interior is satisfactory to a certain degree with cockroaches present and drawers deteriorating The stove was falling apart and they tried to blame me but after I called Alberta Health they didnt argue anymore Additionally the dryer isn't funct 2022-10-29T18:02:18Z
