I've been living in this building since August and have generally been pleased; there have been a few minor hiccups. The building is modern and clean, the elevators work well, the parking underground is ample and secure, and my suite's finishings are nice. I'm also happy with the balcony's size. The location is great. It appears that electrical issues are common (breakers popping when too many items are plugged in or running simultaneously), but I've gotten good service when contacting the building team about these matters. While the fitness room is small, it suffices for getting a workout in quickly. Additionally, although others have noted shortcomings with soundproofing between units (not being concrete), it can get annoying hearing people in the evenings nevertheless. On a positive note, all interactions I've had with both management staff and leasing teams have been pleasant and accommodating thus far.

I highly suggest you look elsewhere to rent. The unit looks nice, but that is the only good aspect. The advertised amenities on their site and Instagram are false, and the "state of the art fitness center" is nothing more than a small office with one treadmill, one elliptical, one stationary bike, and some dumbbells; there are no mirrors for proper form and it's unsafe for more than one person at a time. Additionally, there isn't a "social room" like stated. When I brought these issues up with the landlord/owner he said he wasn't responsible for what was advertised; aside from this issue there are other problems such as screws and garbage in the parking lot (my partner got a screw in his tire), thin walls (I can hear my upstairs neighbors walking around constantly), unfinished units (missing outlet covers; mud on walls not sanded or painted), an AC that cools hallways well but leaves units hot even with blinds closed all day, and shoddy electrical work (the breakers pop so easily you can’t use microwave/stove at same time). Had I seen this building in person prior to signing the lease I never would have rented here- don't make same mistake!

Gill Village is a brand-new, attractive complex. We were deceived about the air conditioning; the owners informed us that there was central AC in the whole building, but our floor didn't have it. Some of the suites are quite cool while others have been scorching; this might just be a case of modifying the HVAC and then everyone will be comfortable next summer. Additionally, window screens still haven't been put up - making cooling off difficult if you don't want any bugs to sneak in. The leasing agents here have been wonderful - always ready to help and answer our queries with positive energy! In September, bug issues were resolved as screens were installed. A portable air conditioner had to be bought for our dogs since AC didn't work properly (the breakers kept tripping but they were soon fixed). We are content living at Gill Village, looking forward to future developments like privacy walls outside and sorting out parking lot issues. The underground parking is great with plenty of spots available. A social room would be nice although all residents can come over for coffee at my place! Our only worry is that there may not be an on-site property manager for 200 units - we will see if I'm being overly pessimistic or not eventually!
