I rate this building no more than 1 star. The mice infestation here is real and I wouldn't advise anyone to pay to live here. Despite our complaints, the landlords have done nothing of substance - such as calling pest control or finding entry points - just giving us one or two mouse traps per apartment. To illustrate the situation, I'm going to post pictures of every mouse I find in those traps until my lease runs out; these images are from a week in December last year.
Living in this apartment for almost a year was quite pleasant due to its great location. Unfortunately, I can only give it one star because of the management office in the building.
We resided in this complex for 34 months, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We never had any pest issues while living there. Maintenance was quick to attend to any needs, and the office personnel as well as maintenance staff were all courteous and friendly. The cost of renting here is quite reasonable.
I used to live in building B in 2010 prior to the renovations and moved out when they began. I had discovered a mouse behind my fridge, which management killed with my own broom - gross! But that was the only mouse I ever saw. After reading reviews, however, it appears that the problem has grown worse. I was thinking of returning since the apartments look nice after renovations; however, living with mice is not for me - no thanks!
I've been residing in my apartment for nearly a year, and although there have not been any mice inside, I have seen them outside (both alive and dead). This is very unsanitary, especially if you own pets. The front desk staff are friendly but don't seem to know what they're doing. As for management, they are terrible and only care about money.
When I moved in September, the bathroom tub was already peeling after using the shower for the first time; I asked them to fix it but was told that I would be placed on a waiting list--now almost a year later it still has not been fixed and mold is growing in the corners. There were also damages from the prior tenant that were promised to be repaired by management yet never done--such as stains on carpets, burn marks on countertops, tears in carpets, rust on floors, dishwasher malfunctioning and warped cupboards.
The washer/dryers are coin operated with only one of each per floor which can cause arguments over who can use them when; additionally there have been numerous issues with them eating money without properly washing clothes. In regards to being pet friendly--it's not really as many people haven't had experience with animals (especially dogs) making it difficult to even let your dogI've been residing in my apartment for nearly a year, and although there have not been any mice inside, I have seen them outside (both alive and dead). Noise is another issue as walls are thin enough that conversations can clearly be heard through them; even near-silentmore ...hide ...
