My husband and I have been living in Evanston Place for the past 5 months Im a grad student at Northwestern hes a working professional We enjoy the location but have had numerous issues with management and maintenance which make it hard to really appreciate the place The rent is too high for what you get so if you can afford better options then Id recommend reconsidering living here A few highlights our washerdryer unit broke down for a month before it was fixed communication from both building staff and maintenance personnel about progress was poor requiring us to followup multiple times we had to use the communal laundry room in the hall while this issue was going on but management reimbursed us one of the south tower elevators has been broken since October with staff initially saying it would be 23 weeks before repair then later changing this estimate to 68 weeks now theyre saying maybe early January walls are very thin so we often hear noise from our neighbor including their birthday party at midnight finally heatingcooling system doesnt allow AC during winter or heat during summer this became an issue when there were 70 degree days in October as our unit still remained uncomfortably hot even with vents closed and heating off Additionally not building fault theres no garage enclosure meaning that today many people woke up to broken car windows and rummaged belongings luckily nothing valuable taken but still cost 250 due to more ... hide ...
