If you choose to live at this slum, you're crazy. If somebody is already a resident there, then I feel sorry for them. My friend was one such person; he lived there for 5 months and the hallway outside his apartment had a strong smell of urine. When his doctor informed him that his skin condition was caused by vermin in the building, he told the landlord and moved out abruptly. However, without prior warning, he was contacted by collections trying to collect rent for the entirety of his lease as if he hadn't paid any last month's deposit when it had been abandoned. Therefore, my friend is suing them for all damages caused by pests, unsanitary living conditions and their unlawful attempt to claim money through collections.

I truly enjoyed living here and I'd rate it 5 stars, except for two minor drawbacks: the hydro costs in winter could be a bit high ($200-300/month), and I had a neighbor who never took out the garbage and their cats peed everywhere, which was very unpleasant. However, when signing the lease we were given a welcome gift of a throw blanket and bag; additionally, as tenants with Timbercreek we received cards offering discounts at certain stores (I mainly used mine at Jysk). The building itself was clean enough, neighbors usually kept to themselves, and Lissa from the office staff always made sure things were taken care of. Furthermore, this is pet-friendly accommodation with ample parking away from the road so you won't hear any traffic; furthermore there's lots of natural light and if you're lucky to get a corner unit there are bay windows for extra space. Out of all apartments I've rented before moving into my own house this one offered the best value - no pest issues apart from ladybugs annually. If your budget allows for these units - totally worth it! So much space!
