When COVID-19 arrived, I discovered the Barrel Yards site and was impressed by their focus on tidy, well-constructed rental suites with many excellent condo amenities. When the chance came to move out of the GTA, I recalled the Barrel Yards and was thrilled to see The Cooperage, The Onyx and The Staves buildings now ready. With its tightly-packed dwellings next to an attractively designed park and a highly walkable area near Uptown shopping center - exactly what more communities need - it's precisely what I had been searching for...just not in Toronto. Reg from the Leasing Office welcomed me warmly with information on availability and prices as we went through a tour of the suites. Even though it is an active construction site, it doesn't feel like those wild building areas Downtown Toronto with hundreds of people around; workers seem to realize people are moving in soon here so they appear obliging about that. Anticipating my transition here in March 2022, I plan to update this review as my experience advances towards settling down here.
