I have resided in Scott Block for the last four and a half years and I am so fond of it that I opted to migrate to a bigger suite in the same building rather than leaving. Every suite is equipped with grand windows, high ceilings, nice bathrooms and kitchens. The atmosphere inside the building is very placid unless someone is talking in the corridor; even then, I can't hear anyone from neighboring suites. The rooftop patio has stunning views of downtown towards Forks with barbecue grills as well as enough seating area. Its location can't be surpassed; it's 10 minutes from Forks and close to all places downtown as well as in exchange area. Through my job, I've looked at other apartment buildings downtown and found that rent here is reasonable when compared to similar units. Plus, insulation here is superb which means while tenants pay hydro charges individually, even during cold months my bill doesn't exceed $30 (I live in one of the larger suites - most tenants pay less).

The building is often very messy. Since I've moved in March, there has been a piece of packing tape still hanging from the elevator's ceiling. It took two months to replace my second front door fob. Management recently sent out an email requesting that tenants clean the laundry machines between uses, despite charging us $5.75 per load. My neighbor who moved out on September 30th had no cleaning done before the new one moved in on October 1st; I was home and saw nothing being done about it. The rent is overpriced for what this building provides and there's no parking! There's a parking lot which is empty from 5:30pm to 7am but you can't purchase a pass during those times - expect to pay extra $200/month for street level parking where my window has been broken twice already since living here!
