My wife and I moved into the Stonebridge Apartments A Block in Saskatoon on August 22, 2016. We were promised that the carpets would be cleaned, but they weren't when we arrived. After a week and moving our furniture out of the way, they were finally cleaned. Less than a month later, we received a letter informing us that chemicals had to be applied to get rid of cockroaches. We were told to empty closets and cupboards, move all furniture two feet away from walls, and find an alternate location for our pet cat or face fines. Boardwalk was supposed to come exterminate them but decided it wasn't necessary after all; they sent us an apology letter with $25 Tim Hortons gift card as compensation for packing/unpacking twice instead.
From mid-December 2016 until late February 2017 there were continuous hot water issues where only lukewarm water could be used for doing dishes and laundry or taking showers so my wife and I resorted to showering at the gym instead. I called their 1-800 number multiple times asking for an explanation on how this problem would be fixed but no response ever came back; maintenance people did come speak with us though but said nothing could be done since it was "an old building". There have been several appliance issues too -- A/C needing replacement shortly after moving in plus only three of four stove burners working, fridge too small to fit anything more than condiments and Tupperware containers while drymore ...hide ...
