The apartments may look clean, but make certain that everything is functioning before relocating. Unfortunately, I was unaware that the heating and air-conditioning in my bedroom was not working until after moving in. This forced me to pay out of pocket for warmth during the winter and air conditioning in the summer. It is not worth living here; from cockroaches to a negligent management that does not prioritize the safety of tenants, residents are afraid to even enter the parking garage alone. The renovations may give off the impression that it is a nice place, but this is deceiving: there have been multiple thefts and break-ins on the property. Homestead Corporation only cares about its profit; they have done nothing to address this issue. Paying for a unit with your entire income when you don't feel secure in your home is an injustice.
