The Hillsboro Buildings - particularly 50 and 30 - are undoubtedly some of the worst managed in Toronto. Not only are they infested with cockroaches and have broken gym equipment, but they also lack security, allowing anyone to enter without consequence. Furthermore, both pools have been closed for an extended period of time and there is no manager on site after 5pm or on weekends which is unheard of for Downtown Toronto. Residents are left to solve any issues that arise on their own while Amazon packages are being stolen in the lobby and trash is never taken out or carpets cleaned. Water is also constantly shut down leaving those affected with no assistance from management - a problem that seems never-ending as new disasters occur daily.

My boyfriend and I live in an apartment complex located at 30/50 Hillsboro Avenue, which is in the Rosedale area. This place looks nice when you visit to rent, but it's a huge scam once you start living here. The management staff is terrible; the worst I've ever encountered in my life. They are incompetent and useless; for example, there have been cases of harassment that they have done nothing about until it got really bad. My neighbor had her apartment flooding (water coming from the ceiling) and they didn't do anything until after her things were ruined and she complained to higher-ups. Don't believe anything they tell you when you come to visit; they'll say that things will be fixed and then don't follow through. We've had a broken fridge for over a year now - creating a layer of ice four centimeters thick - yet they still insist it's new and fine despite seeing the evidence otherwise! To avoid this kind of situation, make sure people know what to expect before coming here or prevent them from coming altogether!
