We arrived to a chaotic booking situation with an uninviting building. Parking was inadequate, no garden or seating area, and the "24hr coffee" was false advertising--there were no cups to drink from the tap in the tiny sink (smaller than what you'd find in travel trailers). There was also no television or info pamphlet about the area, and breakfast consisted of 3-day old croissants and milk for boring cereal that wasn't even kept cool. The interior rooms had been decorated to resemble a Victorian era but with poor bedding and mattresses. The smell of boat lacquer filled the air due to new heat pumps installed. We had difficulty sleeping due to creaking noises from taps when someone needed to use the shared 3pc bathroom. Despite being advertised as having a seaview, we only saw a factory building Ÿ­. Our experience at this place was far from satisfactory; it seemed they were cutting corners just for profit--such as their poorly constructed entranceway, rusty balusters on stairs, missing handrail halfway up said stairs (very dangerous!), and stained glass windows which were actually stickers used to conceal its awfulness from neighbors.
