I would give zero stars to The Woodlands Apartments (Aion Management) if I could. My experience with them has been nightmarish due to the misleading pictures of their one-bedroom on the site. Even though I was unhappy, I had no choice but to sign a 10-month lease as I had to start graduate school the following day. After four nights at the apartment, my body was covered in flea bites instead of mosquito bites which is what I originally thought they were. With no family nearby and not wanting to stay in an infested apartment, I had no choice but to commute from Connecticut for classes until they moved me into another apartment on September 12th - almost a week after informing them about the fleas. To make matters worse, even when they moved me into another apartment, things like windows, kitchen and bathroom faucets were broken and it took nearly three weeks for maintenance to fix them while my closet door still doesn't have a door over a month later! It seems like my concerns are being ignored because of my race as well since there has been no compensation or communication whatsoever - not even for mailbox key which requested multiple times! Chantai deserves more recognition as she's excellent at her job though.
