Living here was an unpleasant experience and I'm extremely glad to have moved out this year. Here are some of the issues I encountered: (1) The leasing agent never responded to emails, getting mad when I called for follow-ups. This should have been a warning sign that communication wasn't going to get better. (2) On a Friday night, the electronic lock on my apartment door stopped working; when asking staff for help, they said "I'm at my cottage, what do you want me to do about it?" It turns out there was an actual physical key that the landlord neglected to tell me about. They blamed me for this inconvenience. (3) For six weeks, I had no access to my mailbox - Cogir didn't do anything after being asked and Canada Post said it was their responsibility yet nothing changed until legal action was considered. (4) When moving in, items from a previous tenant were still in the unit.(5) The dog living above would often urinate on their balcony which then dripped down onto mine.(6) Cigarette butts were regularly left on my balcony while marijuana smoking anywhere near the property wasn't tolerated.(7) During the pandemic peak there were lots of short-term tenants who wouldn't wear masks.(8) Vehicles would frequently park in our assigned spLiving here was an unpleasant experience and I'm extremely glad to have moved out this year.
