I moved into this place late last year due to unavoidable circumstances, yet I am amazed by the amount of negative reviews since all my experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. The property managers are especially nice and accommodating, so I believe that those who left negative comments are simply unpleasant people. Sadly, there was no way around moving out but hopefully I will be able to return in the fall. This is an excellent spot to call home and it's confusing why there would be issues. They swiftly took care of the cockroach problem; however, as a bottom floor resident I noticed only one. So if you're considering living here, then do give it a try! They really are great.

Management is truly awful; the superintendent is overbearingly prideful and intimidates residents. Cockroaches are all over the place, with the contracted pest control company being a complete joke-- they spray an entire apartment in barely 1.5 minutes (as the guy has to do 90 apartments in one day in this building). The spray does not even last for a day, making no effect on cockroaches whatsoever. While other buildings have modernized to more effective gel-based systems, Tandem Properties insists on using the cheapest pest control possible. If I turn on a light in my kitchen at night, I observe at least 50 cockroaches scurrying around; living here is disheartening.

Since July, my mother has been located in this apartment complex. For a price of 2800, she is enduring a residence with inadequate lighting in the bedrooms, an infestation of cockroaches and an unhelpful/disrespectful management/security staff. Even though they advertise concierge security, they disregard her complaints and even yell at her when she requests that somebody looks into her worries. Recently, someone stole her laundry basket from the laundry room. We asked the management to have security review their camera footage to detect who did it and provided them with a time frame; however, when I returned after an hour to talk with the small person from security (who is actually one of the managers), he claimed there were no laundry baskets present in the washing room (of course!). It's obvious that they lied because they didn't want to help us. His answer was "This isn't my job--if you want any help call the police!" On top of that issue, for about three months now my mother has had to tolerate disruptive banging coming from people living above her yet again management/security does nothing about it!
