We signed a lease to move in on July 1st, only to be told there was a construction delay preventing us from moving until September. The problem is the lack of communication: the landlord only needs to give 60 days notice, but so do we in Ontario. We were eventually informed that November would be our moving month, but we should already have been given dates and reassurance by now. Unfortunately, this poor communication is souring an otherwise exciting prospect: the amenities are impressive (saunas, outdoor pool, heated parking etc.) and I'm looking forward to them. Hopefully this is just growing pains which will resolve once construction winds up - thankfully we were contacted well over 60 days ago with move-in dates! Can't wait!
