I must admit that the management has improved drastically since my last review. Many of the issues I mentioned--broken closets, doors, faulty ACs, and dirty windows--have been addressed. However, there are still some things that could be improved. Water shut-offs occur at least once a month, rent is slightly higher than average compared to the size of the apartment, and ACs are not very efficient. With further upgrades and renovations aimed at fixing current issues (without too much disruption), I would revise my rating from one star to four stars.

Pros: The location is unbeatable if you want to stay in the heart of the action. Moreover, there's a convenient store accessible through the lobby. Apart from internet, everything else is included. The lobby is decent compared to other buildings nearby; some units even come with dishwashers! Cons: This building symbolizes Montr©al, known for its old infrastructure. Cleanliness and maintenance are poor and many facilities such as elevators, pool, laundry room etc can be out of service at any time. Water cuts occur more than 30 times a year! Plus there's no online payment option for rent – it has to be done manually via paper. The walls are thin so noise from neighboring units can be heard clearly; an annual car honking party lasts until 12am too! Ventilation is inadequate so the smell from food/cigarettes/marijuana lingers in the air; rent increases every year for what one gets and promises are made but never fulfilled. Lastly, constructions seem never-ending here in Montr©al AKA City of Constructions (Ville des constructions).

I had lived in my previous apartment for four years, but wanted to leave earlier; however, the pandemic postponed my plans. I wrote this review some months ago during the major construction project, and adjusted it as I observed new details and issues being solved. It's a joke that management is asking people to personally address their gripes since I've sent multiple emails in the past about different things - all of which were met with complete silence and no changes. Examples include: always-breaking elevators (even after renovations that took an entire year), continual construction noises in many areas for two years without prior warning, refurbishing of flooring/walls/laundry room set up instead of safety upgrades requested by tenants (e.g., broken lights spots, slippery chipped steps). Hot water or all water being cut at least once a month for hours up to one day is yet another issue. There's only one package locker for Canada Post while other couriers leave packages on lobby floor causing thefts as well as a frequent roach problem.
