Huge props to Preet! Folks, most of these bad reviews are due to lack of proper upkeep. If you'd clean up your unit (e.g. mop the floors, vacuum out mould on couches), you wouldn't have so many bugs. Sure, the building is old and there can be plumbing issues like laundry or hot water not functioning - but if you want modern living sans any problems then pay thrice as much rent for a Marriott studio nearby. If it's cheap rent and close proximity to downtown that you're after, then be patient with minor things - maintenance will fix them soon enough and Preet will stay available 24/7 just in case something crops up! When I first moved in I used to text her regularly about minor stuff (loose blinds, noisy shower head etc) - she'd apologize for the inconvenience and have maintenance take care of it immediately! And now my place is great with no issues whatsoever; move-in was smooth too plus most people in the building are friendly and greet folks with a smile as they pass by. Never spotted any bugs or pests here either. Seriously great location plus staff treat tenants well if they show basic respect towards them.
