I have called 170 Lees Avenue in Ottawa home for 16 years having moved into the 1bedroom unit before it was renovated Through this experience I am able to provide an honest evaluation of the building When I initially moved in it was in a poor condition cockroaches were everywhere and the apartments were run down and dirty Despite these issues I stayed due to its inexpensive rent as I was a student at the time The following year saw extensive renovations which removed crumbling balconies and extended each rooms size they also replaced all of the old carpeting and flooring with ceramic tiling as well as new tinted casement windows that upgraded many kitchens and bathrooms New management brought further changes such as new flooring lighting and aesthetic upgrades within the lobbyhallways some floors are still undergoing work Brand new elevators from 201819 replaced those from 1960s which always broke down while 2020 saw an upgrade to its power supply so that elevators garage doors and hall lights would remain on during power outages This led to a decrease in roaches from bad to virtually nonexistent for me personally no one here has ever had bedbugs either if they did acquire them elsewhere then brought them into their units themselves just like what happened with government buildings at one point last year according to news reportsDespite negative reviews of this building floating around online there are many positive aspects worth mentioning such as friendly residents along with more ... hide ...

Ive been staying at The Lonsdale for about a year or two and I have to say its been nothing short of spectacular Being only 14 I thought living in an apartment would be miserable but it turned out to be quite nice Located across the water and with a large park just across the street there are also plenty of convenience stores and eateries nearby ideal if youre someone who likes to explore their surroundings There is also an exercise gym room for fitness inside the building as well as underground parking and a mailbox compartment area as seen in my pictures The interior is beautiful and the views of the sky are astounding Lastly they keep everything spotless 1010 in my book If youre looking for a new home then this should certainly be taken into consideration more ... hide ...
