I had resided in the building for over three years when it was owned by Homestead and Q Residential The rent of 800month plus hydro for a one bedroom apartment was exorbitant considering the substandard living conditions The bed bugs were sprayed between 16 and 20 times but it did not help with their elimination I resorted to selftreating which eventually led to their disappearance On top of this there were also constant problems with roaches that management or pest control could not solve again only selftreatment relieved this issue As soon as the bed bugs and roaches left mice moved in There were frequent power outages and hot water shortages 13 times a month during winter I even had to boil water on my stove in order to shower sometimes Elevators broke almost every week which affected seniors and people with disabilities too Security was abysmal locks on stairwell doors were broken yet nothing done about it as people propped them open so they could get back in furthermore homeless people loitered around while IV drug use often occurred in stairwells one night even leading to someone overdosing outside my door Management changed every 3 weeks so I do not know what they do all I can say is that premises state was deplorable attachments show this meaning cleaners werent doing their job either Charging people for such living conditions is sickening children elderly persons refugees or those who have more ... hide ...

Id made an appointment to view an apartment a week in advance but when I got there on public transportation in the middle of winter the person at the buzzer was rude and said they had no apartments to show Its unacceptable for them not to cancel appointments that cant be fulfilled To make matters worse their site still showed 1 and 2 bedroom apartments avail 2022-11-06T14:02:19Z

We had moved into the building five years ago since rent was inexpensive but that was its only saving grace We were warned about cockroaches and the super had been asked to spray before we moved in yet we still spotted them not as bad as some of the other residents To make matters worse there had been a bed bug infestation for years now The super was extremely unhelpful and would blame other tenants instead of dealing with the issue himself During winter months it became so cold in our unit that bylaw needed to be called multiple times The showers were also moldy and instead of cleaning it out properly they simply grouted over it I have not been at this residence for three years now however my friends are still living there without any change in living conditions and costs went up to 750month for a twobedroom I urge you to look elsewhere when trying to find a place you have been warned more ... hide ...
