Do NOT rent from this place. I moved here in 2019 and was immediately subjected to harassment by a neighbor, yet my complaints to the landlord were ignored. This week, I have been without hot water (unannounced), and the temperature in my apartment is 16.7 degrees Celsius, which is below the legal limit of 20 degrees for landlords to provide during 600am-11pm. In addition, there are drug deals occurring on the main floor with people constantly coming and going through a propped open back door or window without its screen. The leasing office responds occasionally since that's where money comes from; however, voicemails are not returned for other matters such as heat at 16.7 degrees which should be at 20 according to Ottawa regulations. Contacting anyone else has proven fruitless; thus far I have received no call backs after leaving three voicemails this week about heat alone - it has been almost a week now! Even calling the emergency line yesterday resulted in no change or response whatsoever. Similarly calling them tonight didn't reach anyone higher up such as a manager who could hear complaints either; instead it just connected me back to the emergency line again.
