Steer clear of Mainstreet properties! Such a dive, with " slumlord" property owners. I had problems right away after relocating. They told me it was a no-smoking building when I signed my lease, yet that just applied to common areas - my flat STUNK from the cigarette smells from individuals smoking in their units. I had plumbing/pipe issues and heating troubles as well. They never provided proper warning when they entered my unit to do repairs. The outside is filled with cigarette butts, dog excrement, fragmented glass and rubbish. After only 5 days of living there, I attempted to get out of my lease yet had no success. I needed to look for legal aid so as to get out of my agreement when at long last I got fed up and even though they committed many violations of the contract/tenancy act, they are still attempting to come after me for $2200 (lease break fee). Keep away from Mainstreet properties, the management is terrible!!!
My partner and I lived at the Bonaventure Mainstreet apartments for a year, due to better opportunities and family matters. As a young couple, it was great; providing all the necessities for couples/small families. There had been issues with the former resident manager, but those were resolved when Matt came on board - an absolute gem! The place isn't perfect - there are 200 apartments, meaning Matt is responsible for taking care of a lot of people. It's an older building but renovations are underway and staff work around the clock to keep it clean. Unfortunately, some residents (who can be quite rude unfortunately) don't help in that regard; however if we needed assistance with anything, Matt was always available to help quickly. Despite what reviews may say, our experience there was positive overall.

In November 2018, a two-year lease was renewed with a new Property Manager, Matthew, who has taken charge with eagerness to address any challenges and deficiencies. His experience and knowledge is impressive given his age, allowing residents to easily communicate their grievances and suggestion. The lease cost was offered three months in advance at reasonable terms. To fix the landscape and refuge issues, Matthew conducted a walkthrough noting Tatyana's unresolved shortcomings before her sudden departure. Additionally, he supplied doggie bags for pet owners who neglected to bring their own and installed security cameras on each floor of the buildings as well as floodlights for improved visibility along pathways. He also regularly communicates details about balcony winterizing expectations that are understandable for all tenants. Mainstreet Properties Corporation is able to provide lower economic earners with quality rental units at reasonable prices while still upholding high standards of service excellence that exceed other firms' offerings such as Boardwalk, Acclaim, Sundance Emerald York Hope Magnum etc., which I have first-hand experience from seven of these companies altogether.
