I'm staying in unit 409, a two-bed, two-bath apartment; however, it's not the best built of places. The kitchen stove is right next to the door of the bathroom. The heating in my place isn't great either – when I set my thermostat to 32°C, it hardly reaches 20°C and there's no fireplace. As a result, I had to buy heaters and ended up paying $250 for my hydro bill. The strata told me they can't do anything at present but are looking into ways to improve the heating in my apartment...who knows if that'll happen? For all this rent is 1700$, and there are other much better options available in Surrey. Apart from being close to Surrey Central station, I don't find any other benefit from living here.
The heating system is inadequate, making winter days unbearable. The parking garage is not well-crafted and is particularly difficult for those with bigger vehicles. People like to use it as a Formula 1 racetrack which can be quite intimidating. Elevators are overcrowded during move-in and move-out times, while visitor spots are mostly taken by permanent occupants. There is a lack of understanding between the builder and management leading to residents being unable to access top floor amenities. Additionally, the insurance deductible is exorbitantly expensive, lockers are limited in supply and too many buildings being constructed nearby obstructs one's view of the surrounding area.
