I have lived in this apartment building for over five years, which has been unfortunate. Management is unable to do anything properly; my parking spot was illegally occupied for a few weeks and they were unable to do anything about it. Then they cleaned the parking without warning one time, leaving my car covered in dirt. They are currently doing cosmetic renovations, which will not solve the major issues that this building has. The windows are 40 years old and there is a strong draft coming through them. Mold is another major problem here as well. I would not recommend this place at all.
The apartment has no proper heating, and snow can be seen on the windows inside. Unable to reside in such conditions, I purchased a heavy portable heater for the bedroom and hallway. The entire structure is being renovated with luxury in mind; I wish they had allocated their funds towards more practical pursuits.
Don't spend your hard-earned money here. The service is poor and the building management doesn't seem to care. The conditions are not suitable for living. I've had issues with hot water and cold air coming in through the windows, making it impossible to use the heater. When I contacted Cognir Management for help, they would just tell me they would inform their Regional Manager, but my problems remain unresolved. On top of that, there have been thefts in the building and nothing has been done about it! You can find a better place at a similar price; however, water outages occur weekly with no resolution in sight. It's a shame that building managers have to deal with all these complaints daily!
Beware of the worst apartment in North York! It may be suitable for homeless people, but it is not worth losing your money and health over. The management is abysmal, and there are countless issues. The area is unpleasant, the building grimy with cockroaches, and a strong scent of marijuana permeates from all directions. During night time, drug addicts can be found in the underground parking - making it an unsafe environment.
The living conditions at 65 Forest Manor are abysmal and more befitting of North Korea than a modern residential building. Water is shut down weekly with no effect on the quality, leaving tenants without hot water in their units. The heating system is inadequate and the windows let in too much air, making it feel like one is outside. Rent increases occur even though maintenance requests go unheard; this residence deserves no stars but Google won't let me post lower than one.
