This cottage rental wasn't at all what we had anticipated. Fifteen years ago, my family used to come here every year, however it has severely deteriorated since then. The first place we stayed was dark and had a great deal of water damage; despite this, the other cottages were far worse. The bathroom ceiling had a hole in it and the toilet was cracked; there were cobwebs everywhere and only three forks left for us. Plus, there were graffiti on the wood panelling from 2002! Kitchen supplies were minimal (only two pots, one pan and three forks). There was no BBQ or outdoor seating apart from the picnic table which seemed to be newish. Each cottage did have a fire pit but we needed to ask for wood when required. We met other renters who wouldn't stay in their own cottage either since it smelled of smoke and dog - ours seemed larger, brighter and more liveable so we ended up taking theirs instead! Two bedrooms plus the bathroom window only had screens with wooden blocks holding them open; furthermore, both sliders weren't fitted correctly leaving an opening for bugs to get through during night-time if lights weren't kept off as much as possible.
