We STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from living in Oakridge Gardens or working with Vancouver Management Ltd. We just moved out of this place, and it was a complete nightmare. Firstly, there were mice everywhere, and when we complained to the building managers about it, they denied it initially. Only after speaking to our neighbors did we learn that there was an infestation in the building. The management then suggested getting a cat to deal with the problem; however pets are not allowed in the complex (something that was never mentioned when we first moved in). Furthermore, the apartments have no soundproofing so you could hear your neighbors talking and even sneezing on either side of your wall. The building managers were also very hard to get a hold of as there is no email contact (they don't even have a computer!) and all communication is done over phone calls. We had multiple visits from plumbers without any prior notice due to toilet issues leaking into other units below us. When we moved out they charged us an additional $250 cleaning fee despite spending hours cleaning thoroughly; apparently we didn't follow some 'cleaning list/protocol' which they never gave us!
