On our first trip to Muskoka Lakes, we arrived earlier than expected due to lighter traffic and stayed one night at the impressive resort. We received a call at 1:30 PM informing us that our non-lake-view one bedroom suite with balcony was ready. This suite had a kitchen, comfortable sofa, and fireplace; the hardwood floor and decor gave it a cottage feel while the large bathroom was beautifully appointed with top-notch amenities. After participating in the build-a-Rosseau Buddy activity, we enjoyed the kiddie pool/splash pad and beach before returning to find a personalized note, bottle of wine, and plate of cheese/fruit awaiting us. Stargazing from our balcony was another highlight of our visit. At breakfast in The Cottage restaurant staff accommodated us in an area by the steakhouse (which was closed) as they recognized our toddler's need for extra space; buffet food was excellent! Finding The Studio activity room for young guests proved difficult but staff were able to guide us to it - located below main pool complex - though some playground equipment needed maintenance/replacement. We had an amazing stay at The Rosseau thanks mainly to David's exemplary service at Front Desk; would highly recommend here!
