I was quite anxious when I first moved to Heritage nine months ago due to the negative reviews, however it's been a decent experience thus far. I'm uncertain what other reviewers were expecting, but this is one of my better rental experiences out of four landlords in the past five years; repairs are taken care of within two days after submitting an online request. Although the cabinets and medicine cabinet are from the 80s, there is new carpeting, fresh paint and a brand-new dishwasher. The bedrooms exceeded my expectations for size and the living area is roomy. Although I don't do laundry at Heritage because I don't think the machines are great, that's not necessarily a problem since every other apartment I've lived in required me to bring a washing machine or use an external laundromat anyway. On occasion when someone downstairs decides to sing karaoke it can be heard up here - although previously living somewhere where you could hear their TV all day everyday makes this sound insignificant. For reference, "The Maple" floor plan in one of the red buildings on top floor is where I live.

To start off with the positives: no major issues, the apartment is average in size and cost-effective for a 1 bedroom unit. Amenities include a pool, gym and a lengthy list of additional features that I haven't even tried out yet. Plus there's covered parking available plus an extra uncovered spot available too. The two times when the doorknobs on our apartment did not function properly were addressed by their 24/7 maintenance almost immediately—they even replaced two of them in order to fix it! On the downside: people at their Bloom complex had appliances removed from them when they couldn't pay rent during COVID-19 lockdown until it hit news headlines; hallways are never cleaned (you can see this in pictures); handrail next to my door has been broken off for months; carpets are stained in hallways and rooms; we won't get back our deposit because there were countless problems like painted spots over walls, grimy bathrooms etc which were way worse than show units.
