L'aubergine is great value for money given the beautiful setting it offers. The house is spacious enough to accommodate a large group of 25 people and the beds were comfortable, with plenty of bathrooms. There was no difficulty in preparing meals with two ovens, two fridges, freezers and a commercial dishwasher which completes a load quickly. The dining room has ample seating for everyone and the kids enjoyed walking down to the dock each day. The location also allows for day trips to nearby cities such as Montreal (1.5 hours away) and Quebec City (3 hours away). Furthermore, there are various activities in the area including Sea-Dooing in Magog, go-karting Orford, ropes course/zip lining at Haut Bois Normand and Abbaye De St-Benoit-Du-Lac. On the downside though are warning signs all around that deter from an inviting atmosphere; these signs warn of hefty fines if not adhered to such as returning folding chairs or touching emergency lanterns or stereos etc. This is understandable but should be replaced by a welcome book with information about local areas instead; additionally having toilet rolls provided per bathroom would be more welcoming along with making up beds prior to arrival so guests don't have to do this after an exhaus L'aubergine is great value for money given the beautiful setting it offers.
