We stayed at Cliffside Inn based on the reviews which praised Robert, the former owner. Unfortunately, he had sold the Inn to Jay and Amber who took a few days to respond to our reservations request through email and phone. I was worried about other places being booked up but then Jay mentioned that there would be a fee for cancelling due to COVID-19. During our stay, my son tested positive for Covid-19 so we decided it was best to go home early. When I told Jay that night of this situation and asked if he could refund us for our last night's stay, there was no response until I sent another email asking; at that point he refused the refund.
It wasn't stated online but each person over two had an extra $100 fee per night—even children—for breakfast food. Breakfast options remained the same every day with pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit; toast required a special request. There were no TVs in either bedroom or any other room besides in a small common area; neither did any of them have windows which opened or fans in the washroom. Our Loft room comprised two bedrooms where walking on upstairs floors caused fear as they were slanted leading into the second bedroom/washroom.
