I'm astounded by the reviews about Kensington Place. For 18 years, it was called Hershey Heritage, and we were rewarded for staying; the area was peaceful and our housing units were roomy. Whenever someone left, appliances would be taken out to be cleaned, walls painted and carpets shampooed; sometimes new appliances or carpet/flooring would be installed while vacant. Pest control came weekly if requested in garden apartments where bugs would enter during certain seasons. Annual improvements on the outside of buildings such as roofing were budgeted for repairs--the team was professional and adept when needed. When sold though, changes began that made us uneasy: a 6 million dollar renovation of bathrooms, kitchens and windows meant higher rent prices we couldn't decline but I preferred the old cabinets to the new ones. Then an 8 unit fire occurred alongside a couple vehicle-related accidents involving damage to fencing & signage at front of complex so we decided to buy our own place elsewhere. Since then I've heard of two more fires destroying two more buildings plus multiple police events with staff & management also changing at sale time--what used to be a gorgeous living space for over 50 years is now run down in less than 8 y I'm astounded by the reviews about Kensington Place.
