When I moved into this place last year, it wasn't bad and just a bit expensive. When they told me my rent was going up from 755$ to 800$ for a studio, not including the other fees like the tech package, water, trash and sewer - the total would be close to 1000$. So I looked for another apartment that had better amenities and was similarly priced (and found one). Unfortunately, I didn't know that I had to give 60 days' notice when leaving as a new renter with little experience. How can you give a notice when it's hard to find an apartment so quickly? All this after signing a 12 month lease which is really quite misleading. Now I'm stuck paying for two places until the 60 days are up. To top it off, recently in an accident my car got totaled and now there's medical bills on top of all this. When pleading with the office worker/property manager they weren't too keen on helping out but only offered me some payment plan which doesn't make anything affordable still having to pay for something you're not living in anymore. A few months ago they also tried telling me that couldn't have security cameras installed in my window despite break-ins happening often here with lots of homeless people around - while their front office has security When I moved into this place last year, it wasn't bad and just a bit expensive. The only positive aspects are maintenance is responsive and no dog restrictions but all in all if there is somewhere else with similar costs then go there instead!more ...hide ...
