Despite my trepidation about leaving the home I had lived in for 30 years, I have been delighted with my experience at Highland Ridge. The excellent construction from the '80's means that I am never disturbed by my neighbors and feel much safer than in my old house. Not only that, but cats are welcome here as well! Even though the place is a bit dated (think carpet and popcorn ceilings), they are continuously upgrading; last summer my deck and railing were fixed up and given a fresh coat of paint while this summer all new windows will be installed. The staff is very responsive and helpful, while there are also plenty of activities to take part in - ranging from weekly yoga classes to Mardi Gras parties hosted by the management company. On top of all that, there's a well maintained pool with hot tubs, exercise rooms, private party spaces - it almost feels like living in a resort! All things considered, I'm so glad I chose Highland Ridge for this next chapter of my life!
