I'm quite pleased with my decision to move to Glen Hills, having been here for more than a year now. Pros: The neighborhood is safe and peaceful (except when trains come by the tracks), and the property is taken care of; snow removal, parking lot salting and general maintenance are all done well. My apartment was updated with new carpeting and appliances when I moved in, plus there's plenty of parking space. Rent is not too bad either, while neighbors are friendly. On top of that, I'm kept informed about any happenings on-site. Additionally, each building has its own laundry room which eliminates the need to go out for one. Cons: There's no central heating or thermostat to regulate temperature - if you turn up the heat it gets too hot quickly then goes off overnight leaving you cold; utility bills aren't outrageous though. Unfortunately, their washers/dryers can be full at times plus washing/drying costs are pricey ($1.75/$1.25 per load). Furthermore, refilling your laundry card can only be done during certain business hours or part of Saturdays which isn't very convenient for those who work long hours; additionally my rent went up unexpectedly after a year here although it's still acceptable overall .
