Living at the George apartments for nearly four years has been great due to its prime location It is close to the metro a Safeway the mall with gym Target Costco and movie theater and a bus station Downtown Wheaton still has charm with businesses having been around for over 50 years however it does not have that modern feel of places like Rockville or Northern Virginia A library and other grocery stores or ethnic markets are all within walking distance too including several Dim Sum places While clean overall the building is uneven in quality as it was remodeled units below floor five may be different than those above The view from upper floors especially on southfacing ones is lovely however there is some light pollution from the parking garage next door at night The apartment gets quite warm in any season due to sunlight streaming in The gym and club room are convenient but furniturecabinetscarpets are not topnotch quality similar to other rentals in area Items often break down here but never get fixed while events used to be held until management changed pandemic arose package delivery has become a mess with packages stolen from lobby frequently too Further issues include loud air conditioner with no low setting plus parking difficulties no way for visitors to use elevator without key fob making pet sitting hard even with safety features present Despite all this this building remains an acceptable place to live since nothings perfect more ... hide ...
