When we arrived on time at this neglected, deteriorating fire hazard of a place, Ken the owner was attempting to clean it. After we told him to leave and that we would finish the job ourselves, we spent three hours scrubbing dirt and grime. Despite our efforts, the cottage was still inadequate; beds were uncomfortable, shower wouldn't drain, no back on the four-decade-old oven (fire hazard) that didn't function properly, fridge leaking water onto food items; doors could not be locked so bugs could freely enter. It was an unpleasant experience so it's safe to say that we left sooner than expected and never returned.
