This review is regarding the Franchere Bay Cabin Rentals, which are run by the same people, and not about their store. During a long weekend stay in "Cabin 4", the bigger cabin, we found both pros and cons. The positive aspects included a dock to tie our boat for the weekend, free firewood and a big firepit, a jug of water provided on arrival, an awesome wrap-around deck with an amazing lake view as well as a consistent breeze from it; also they gave us a map of the lake. However there were some drawbacks such as poor quality coffee pot and tea kettle that took forever to function properly; additionally there were 2 pages of rules concerning cleaning etc., taped to the dining table without prior disclosure; all pots were in bad condition without any suitable spoons or spatula provided; shower was dirty upon arrival; missing finishing touches like baseboards etc.; zero-tolerance policy for dogs on lawn of Cabin 4 but allowed few feet away at other cabins with no fence blocking them from entering onto lawn; too much signage everywhere present indicating what can be done or not inside/outside cabin. Furthermore bedding/ towels/ hand soap weren't provided either.
