Living at South City Station Apartments may sound like a dream - it's conveniently located, spacious and reasonably priced. But as someone who has lived there for a year, I can tell you that it's not worth the money. Maintenance is poor, access and security is an issue, mailboxes have been vandalized and there have been multiple false fire alarms. Trash rooms are awful, guest parking is bad and the management company doesn't seem to care about their residents. My most recent experience was moving into an apartment that wasn't properly cleaned - lights were burned out, stains on the ceiling and discolored carpet that had clearly not been shampooed. Appliances weren't working properly either. The main door lock intermittently jammed; the doorbell didn't work; the toilet tank wobbled; toilet water pressure was low; pantry shelving wasn't mounted correctly - I could go on... After trying to get help from Equity Residential managers Jeska & Damion I've given up hope of any improvement in this situation so my advice would be if you're considering South City Station Apartments: RENTER BEWARE! You'll thank me later! All your current and future residents deserve better than this - especially for what they pay in rent!
