Noise insulation is practically nonexistent here. Most of the neighbors are rude and very loud - with only a couple exceptions. It's most noticeable at the elevator, where it sounds like their conversations are happening in your living room; and they often keep the doors open to finish talking! When kids are around, they run to the elevator, resulting in lots of noise and stomping that can be heard even in bedrooms. Parents don't bother to tell them to be quiet either; kitchen sounds carry all over too. Walls here are drywall so you often feel shaking when people lean or bang on them. People don't recycle properly either - cars just follow each other into the parking garage without tapping cards (against rules), which could result in theft as there have been many such cases recently. Kids run through hallways, garbage thrown out outside permitted hours, and everything being put into any bin nearby regardless of environment impact...it's a terrible culture here! Positive reviews likely just come from people trying to protect their investments by pretending it's not so bad - but commuting isn't everything; is that really how you want your home?
