Living in River Drive for 10 months was tolerable, but there are a few important things to be aware of if you're considering it as a tenant. Pros include: the size - two bedrooms, big deck, good repair, lots of closet space, natural gas included in rent, soundproof walls and pleasant neighbors. The pool is large and well-maintained and snow removal is done efficiently. Hot water and good water pressure are added bonuses. Landscaping is nice with plenty of trees and walking paths. Cons include: theft (my roommate's bike was stolen), someone living in the laundry rooms without any announcement from management about it; no security cameras; parking problems after 5pm; spotty air conditioning; an exorbitant water bill for 2 people ($80); expensive laundry machines which don't work very well; maintenance can be slow to respond if you don't push them; weed smell in hallways frequently; management can be rude or nice depending on who you're dealing with; dumpster far away from apartments and curbside trash no longer exists here.; outdated features (60s cabinets/ 90s appliances). Although not the worst place to live, I recommend exploring other options before signing here.
