**!!WARNING!!** I'm issuing a warning that Garden Propertys, located in Lethbridge and the surrounding area, is infested with bed bugs, cockroaches, and ants; all of which management and the owner neglect to deal with. They attempt to charge tenants with a fine of $250 that does not have any legal backing from courts or other authorities. Furthermore, they treat tenants like prisoners. Additionally, I advise everyone to stay away from Flamborough Gardens, Palm Road Townhouses, All Town Houses as well as Super 8 Hotel on Mayor Magrath; all of which are owned by the same person that owns Garden Propertys. My wife and I experienced constant harassment and illegal entry into our home without notice. The buildings remain in poor condition due to water damage and black mold (which is dangerous even in small amounts). They also entered into a contract with Immigration Services meaning they plan on evicting current tenants soon since those moving in won't care about the bug issue. Therefore, please share this information so everyone can be aware! I don't want anyone else to endure what we did--the harassment and unfair treatment we faced was unacceptable. THEY ARE A SCAM!

Renting through Avenue Living is, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. The Palm Road apartments were infested with bed bugs and the landlords did little to help. They only had one person responsible for treating all their complexes in Southern Alberta and all they brought was a basket full of dollar store chemicals from the hardware store. After reporting the issue, it took several weeks to get treatment and even then they only treated one unit at a time which was ineffective since the bed bugs kept moving around and coming back a year later. I ended up getting them twice and paid for my own professional treatment during my second encounter with them before finally opting out of my fixed-term lease (the only option available). However, when it came time to finding another tenant to take over my lease, I received no help from the landlords despite their promises otherwise; especially if there had been recent reports of bed bugs in that unit! In summary: stay away from this rental agency! Issues such as poor tenant services (especially concerning bed bugs), understaffing, drug trafficking on-site, and regular fights in the parking lot are just some of what you can expect here.
