We spent three days in August at Silver Sand Resort for an ATV trip and reserved a motel room for two people. The booking and check-in processes were straightforward. There were six rooms in the main building's walkout basement beneath the restaurant, but when we parked by our room we noticed an unpleasant garbage odor. We realized that the trash drop off area was close to the rooms, which made it worse on hot days. The motel room had two double beds, a nightstand, bar fridge, cabinet with drawers, one coat hook near the door, and ten mismatched hangers on a clothes hanger. The bathroom had a small vanity, toilet and tub with shower but no sitting area or chairs nor dresser or other furniture pieces; although it was generally clean there was dust on headboards and lamp as well as dirt behind/underneath bedframe. Disturbingly enough there wasn't even any smoke detector in sight given that its location is below a commercial kitchen; furthermore the TV only had Bell receiver yet no channels while Wi-Fi -which is advertised on various sites including their own- isn't even available! Additionally there was no propane for BBQing nor glasses or other kitchen amenities despite us asking about coffee makers beforehand.
