Upon arrival to the hilltop, we noticed unkempt grounds with weeds, dirty furniture and a grimy window. Inside Outlook 2 was dismal, not the bright atmosphere portrayed in pictures. The kitchen was skinless than spotless - we had to scour blackened pots and pans - and the bathroom needed refurbishment. There were two small rooms with one mobile radiator each, so sleeping against a cold wall was necessary. Furthermore, there were no blinds in one room and only a thin bamboo blind in the other; thus sunlit flooded both rooms at dawn. The property had an abandoned car with raised wipers visible from Blue Heron cabin guests as well as many non-guest cars across from cabin 5; not an appealing sight! Additionally, an adjacent house resembling a construction site was not rented out either. On our last day we received a message about self-catering cabin standards requesting it be left in its condition; however there had been no inspection nor basic sanitization after previous guest departure (COVID or not). A strict rental contract of $350 security deposit seemed excessive due to what we experienced here! When Angela was asked to check heating device on TV area she responded it would be done AFTER our stay instead.
