Living at Burt Mill apartments for eight months was an absolute nightmare. Despite being promised I would hardly notice the train passing by every five minutes, it was incredibly loud and could still be heard when windows and doors were closed. The upstairs unit was unbearably hot, even in the fall, with one tiny air conditioner that did nothing to cool down the entire apartment. There was a major roach problem too; even with keeping my apartment clean I'd find live ones inside the living room or kitchen a couple of times a month - outside at night it looked like the sidewalks and front steps were crawling with hundreds of them! The dog park wasn't any better; there were piles of poop everywhere and overflowing trash cans for disposing of poop bags. My neighbor made things difficult as well by constantly leaving dog treats around which my new puppy found hard to resist. All in all, I would not recommend living here if you have other options available - except for saying that management always responded quickly if there were issues.
