Avenue Living apartments may be affordable, but the management is terrible. The middle-level heat doesn't work, even in springtime when winter was freezing. When they were asked for service, they said they couldn't help with windows freezing over and leaking onto the floors causing mold and water damage; there was no help from management. The water temperature is mostly cold, and it's common to hear the heaters banging loudly at all times of day. There's a maple bug infestation all year round too; cleaners bang on walls and doors at 6am on weekends for vacuuming. You pay for heat, water and parking but rarely get what you pay for; people steal parking spots with management doing nothing to stop it since they sometimes do it too! There was even an incident where upstairs neighbors' shower water leaked through the roof but their version of fixing it was just covering the hole! When their water went to downstairs neighbors, it ruined our bathtub! So if you're looking for a roof over your head only then go ahead otherwise you won't have a good experience here; bring lots of blankets during winter plus noise-cancelling headphones & insect repellent as well (for quiet hours too!).
