We moved in on March 29th and have been abruptly woken up by noise and machinery before 7am every day since! We had no security for almost three weeks, and even worse, the real estate agency gave their keys to a broker's spouse who showed up at our house while my wife was still in her pajamas. This person didn't even apologize afterwards. Besides that, the entrance/elevator/common areas are always dirty as if there aren't tenants living here. To top it off, we weren't given the month's rent ($1760) until a month later when they made an error on the check. We were then insulted when we asked to hold onto it until payment was made. Furthermore, trucks and workers are constantly in our face with mounds of earth blocking our view of Mont Saint Hilaire (which I could see from Beloeil). Unfortunately if you dare to ask when these mounds will be removed you're seen as attacking them; not to mention we can't voice our opinion or else they'll threaten us with being able to terminate lease without charge. All I want is what I'm paying amply for: security of my apartment and peace of mind ($1760). I should be getting my money's worth so I will enforce all my rights!
