We had the pleasure of staying at Chalet Zaltana with two couples and four children during our Christmas break in 2019. Location4saisons kindly worked with us to make this reservation when our previous plans fell through unexpectedly. The chalet was located in a picturesque area, only a thirty-minute drive from Mont-Tremblant. The Pros: The chalet itself was very attractive; the bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were spacious as well. The hot tub was an added bonus! We could all sit comfortably in the dining room, and there was also a game room with its own bedroom and bathroom for privacy as needed. Furthermore, it was only 30 minutes away from Mont-Trembant ski resort--perfect! The Cons: Unfortunately, the refrigerator wasn't big enough to store food for eight people; furthermore, there weren't many storage containers or mixing bowls provided in the kitchen. There also weren't enough drinking glasses (just plastic cups). The house mainly relied on radiant heat alone which worked fine when it was between 30-40 degrees F outside but got too cold when temperatures dropped more severely or winds picked up on top of the mountain. Chalet Martine (#46) is nothing short of paradise. It is spacious and comfortable with 5 beds, four of which are queen-sized. The kitchen has all the basic appliances like an oven, coffee machine, microwave, and fridge; the dining room can accommodate up to 10 people; and the patio comes with a barbecue and spa for at least four adults. There are three bathrooms with bathtubs and showers to take care of traffic. The living room has two couches and one very comfortable armchair close to the fireplace. Downstairs there's a 50-inch TV plus a pool table with three couches around it. It's near ski venues as well as convenience stores; cellular service is great too! However, there are some minor issues: terrible satellite internet speed makes streaming Netflix frustrating; Bell satellite package doesn't include any sports channels; hot water but so-so pressure. All in all, highly recommended!
