Brainard Landings in Lincoln, IL was definitely a step ahead of other apartments. Being a section 42 housing, there are certain income restrictions but there are some great amenities such as onsite laundry, a pool, small exercise facility with lots of equipment and even a dog park! Although neighbors can be annoying at times, which is the case anywhere you live, this is one of the few apartments where you can have pets (2 max). The rent may seem expensive but utility bills are low due to efficient heating/cooling systems. Maintenance response time was slow but that's quite normal. The apartments were roomy and all had either patios or decks - an excellent feature! Above all else, the property manager was really awesome; she always solved issues promptly and provided great service. Plus it's very clean here too!
