This place is an excellent choice for a stay, especially with the 1 BR apartments. The units are spacious and spotless, and the management + staff are friendly and professional while still being reasonably priced compared to the high cost of rent in Halifax. The exterior of the building is newer than its interior, however there could be improvements made to keep it warm during winter - perhaps adding hydro to rent would make it even more desirable. I had no problems during my time living there and made many great memories; if you're looking for a peaceful and wonderful home experience, visiting 'The Sherwood' is definitely worth considering - just be aware that they only offer yearly lease agreements.

We stayed in a one-bedroom unit from September 2019 to November 2021 and paid $1014/month. The main issue we encountered was a malfunctioning ventilation system in the bathroom, leading to condensation. Other annoyances were minor. Management was friendly, but could be slow or unhelpful with smaller matters; however, they reacted quickly to more urgent issues - for example, the electrical problem in our bathroom was taken care of right away while it took over two weeks for our broken bedroom closet doors to be fixed. Although this review focuses on our complaints, these were really the only ones throughout the two-year period that we lived there. We had an excellent experience living here and found it to be an excellent value considering its location and size; as such, we'd highly recommend this building (if conditions match what we experienced) for students or young adults looking for their first apartment or something short-term. We only moved out because of our need for more space and pet friendliness.
