We were deceived by their promises of renovations, but it was in far worse condition than it appeared to be when I had visited years earlier. Roaches are everywhere - no matter how many times we reported the issue, pest control would either never show up or just come in and spray around the kitchen counter before leaving. Other residents informed us of repairs they have been waiting on for a while, including fixing an air conditioner and promised appliances that have yet to arrive after six months. The oven is unreliable, the stove has trouble maintaining a consistent temperature, and even the refrigerator won't stay shut half the time! The dishwasher doesn't do its job either; detergent is still caked on its door and it usually leaves dishes unclean. Regarding safety issues, electrical problems exist despite maintenance's reassurances that everything works properly; plus one time a squatter broke into an apartment above ours!
