We hired a landscaping contractor who subcontracted EFR Environmental to provide a dumpster for soil removal The contractor did not complete the job and left the dumpster on our property We contacted EFR but they refused to pick it up because it was overloaded with prohibited materials We had initially agreed that they would come collect the dumpster and its contents in early July 2022 with them calling us beforehand to ensure we were home However four weeks later they showed up unannounced while we were out of town on vacation When our house sitter was present at our home upon their arrival EFR then threatened that either we pay for their services or else they would illegally dump all eight tonnes of the contents onto our driveway Outraged by this behaviour from someone claiming to be a branch manager I asked if this issue could wait until Monday when we returned instead he began talking about an unrelated hook and hung up on us after repeating my question multiple times It is clear that EFR should not use such business practices as threatening payment or illegal dumping in order to steal money from those who have never contracted them more ... hide ...
